yellow-ISH and our dear de-parted

i like to participate.
and since this cardigain looks yellow in all my pictures
i decided it totally counts.
i changed the part in my hair, you like?
i've been complaining about my hair tons lately...i know, i know.
i tried sydney's wavy hair tutorial.
the only thing i didn't do is curl it at the end...i don't have a 1-inch curling iron
and also...i suck at curling my hair.
i just used my pantene curly spray gel stuff...love that stuff.
i love the way it turned out.
do you like my dress?
it's from dressbarn.
i know, right?
people always forget about the dressbarn.
i never forget, you know why? $25. that's right peeps, this dress was only $25.
also,
i'm not wearing any shoes.

double dutch denim

you like that title?
i totally made it up on the fly.
hellooooooo
(my hello is reminiscent of the hello's after 40 seconds)

anyway,
i probably could have sucked in a little bit
what are you going to do, right?

my hair is driving me criz-zazy
(tank and crops: old navy, shirt: gap, sandals: clarks via tj maxx)
seriously, i'm about to shave my head.
i think i'm going to get it colored.
i colored it myself last week
what?
you didn't notice??
i'm super hurt.
just kidding, no one noticed.
that's because it lightened it like half a shade,
you totally can't tell, unless you're me.
i can totally tell.

aaaaaannnnd big finish
 outfit synopsis:
great for nursing
suuuuper comfy
when i sit the shirt pulls and i kind of looks like "fat guy in a little coat"
but i wore it anyway.

4th of july clothes

i like dressing in red, white and blue.
it feels like one of the only holidays where adults can wear themed clothes
and no one looks at you weird.

what do you mean these are the worst pictures ever?
yes, they were taken in the middle of the day.
the carnal sin of of pictures taking.

you get what you get and you don't throw a fit
it's a little saying my first grader learned this year...it applies today.
(top: free swap, tank and crops: old navy, comfy shoes: target)

did you dress themed for the 4th?
we had yummy bbq with our neighbors and fun was had by all.

maxi totem

as i was falling asleep saturday night i couldn't help but think about
the fact that i have close to zero church clothes.
i did buy a couple dresses the other day
(hopefully my husband isn't reading this)
but it's a pain to wear a dress when you're nursing.

so i was dreaming about this maxi dress i have that would be super easy to nurse in.
and i pictured it with my chambray shirt...tied in a knot.
this is what i came up with:
(dress: hand-me-down: old navy, shirt: gap, necklace: gift(i think it's from target))

unfortch, after i saw this i thought i looked like a totem:
proof:

i also notice that it might be time for me to get a more structured nursing bra,
the girls looks pretty low.

i've always had a straight up and down shape...not a lot of curve going on over here.
ie: no waist.

want to see what i look like when out of nowhere my neighbor comes
around the corner when i'm taking pics?
petrified.
yeah, i ran to the camera and acted like i was taking nature shots.
lame.

so, final thoughts on my outfit:
not super flattering to my particular shape
huge nursing mom points...it was so easy to nurse in this outfit!

tip:
i suck at knotting my shirt, espesh since i didn't have a lot of extra shirt to knot
(read: my shirt's smallish)
so i used one of my girls' clear hair ties...you know the ones that are supposed
to be ouchless but the pull the crap out of your hair.
it kept my knot tied and secure.
you're welcome.
