revieeeeeewwwww

i got a few items from girlprops.com the other day
one being this necklace:
super cute, right?
so here are my official thoughts:
  • i got a bunch of compliments when i wore this necklace
  • it came with earrings which was a surprise
  • it's delicate...not super strong
  • the round silver is brushed metal...love that look
  • it's not a mom friendly necklace
  • i kept getting it caught on things...kids hair, the carpet, my sweater
  • it broke after wearing it for an hour
  • i wish i would have doubled it up...it would have survived a lot longer
  • it is fixable...but i don't see my self fixing it
test shot
i swear this isn't a picture of my milk boobies...it's of the necklace...swear.
don't mind my claw hand in this picture
shirt: kmart ($6!), tank, cardi, ankle jeans: old navy, sandals: ross (naturalizers)
i'm sad i didn't get to wear it for longer...i'm sure i'll fix it eventually
and next time i will wear it doubled up.

girlprops.com has a ton of unique accessories, they also have some great
look-a-like items but for waaaay cheaper,
some of my favorites:

knife and fork earrings...i die

nerd glasses are all the rage

super cute insect necklace, riiiight?

nothing i just showed you is over $10
great prices!!!

sunday, sunday

i wore a dress on sunday,
even though i'm nursing my bebe.
for those of you who haven't nursed a baby,
this means that I had to pull my dress all the way up to whip
out the milk for the little guy.
that's how i roll.

i thought about it before hand.
i figure i'm nursing him in a room with other mother's
i don't have anything they haven't already seen.
right?
plus i tried to keep myself semi modest by putting a blanket over my legs.

anyway, here's me...in clothes...my hair is washed...i have make-up on,
it's the trifecta.
dress: dress barn, cardi: old navy, shoes: tj maxx

money shot
(and by money shot i mean giant milk boobies)

all the kids in the neighborhood say my hair is black,
is it weird that, that really bugs me?
my hair is brown, ok?
so, i'm thinking of lightening it for the summer...i need a change.

so jj totally had a major blowout after his blessing on sunday
(blowout=poo so crazy a mere diaper can not hold it)
so we didn't get the cute family pictures i was hoping for.
but i did snap a couple of him in his carseat before we left,
unfortch you can't get the pure awesomeness concept of his
sweet outfit.
but one's better than none...
the little built in vest is my fav.

wouldn't it be cool if i wrote on my blog again?

hmmm.
how to look cute once you've birthed a baby:
loose tops
flattering jeans
cute hairstyles that are easy, fo shizz
under eye make-up...it pays to pay for the nice stuff
eyelash curler
double extend mascara
a basic white eyeshadow
accessories

this "style" isn't exclusive to just new mama's
this is kind of universal how to look cute
but
these things are key if you want to look descent in public after making the ultimate bodily sacrifice.
if you don't care...don't worry, it's your perogative after pushing out a giant baby.
i'm pretty sure you have an out for the next 12 months
but no one takes the whole 12 months.
eventually you will care about feeling cute again on the outside.

right about now i'm having haircut remorse.
i chopped a good 4 inches off before i had mr.jj, thinking that it would be easier to manage.
i'm an idiot.
all i can do is wear my hair up and  now it looks extra lame
because my hair isn't long enough to wear on top of my head
like all the cool kids are.
(i just wear a dumb bun like the mom/son from psyhco)
and it takes way too much arm strength to straighten.
i don't have the type of hair that you
"wear down"
this mexican mop needs to be tamed.
don't believe it?
check it:
am i hiding a small pet in there?
(jic the answer is no...but i could if i wanted)

i pretty promise (or is that pretty please?)
that i'll take an outfit pic...on sunday in fact.
we're blessing the chunky monkey
(you will DIE when you see his little blessing outfit, it's soooo cute)
and i used my womanly charms to convince my husband to buy
me a new dress.
score.

tbc.
that's to be continued.
