jelly belly

not the bean
the actual belly.

your stomach feels like a sack full of jello after you have a baby.
it's totally weird.

i put on a tunic today that was roomy
and hid my post baby belly pretty well.
but
i felt like i was wearing a tent
and
i didn't feel super cute.

so i layered a few tanks and added a cardi,
slipped on my maternity skinny jeans
and my grey boots.

i felt much cuter
but
there wasn't much left to the imagination when it came to my jelly belly.
and i'm ok with that.

i'd rather feel cute and have a spare tire
than feel like i need to hide myself from the world.
the reality is:
i just had a baby
i'm supposed to have jelly belly.

so here are my pics for you,
i had a 9lb 15oz baby boy 3 weeks ago
and i'm ready to start looking cute again...
at least when i go out in public.
you come to my house
what you see is what you get.

i'm so excited to go shopping for summer clothes.
3 weeks down, 3 weeks to go will i can start going to the gym.
so far i've lost 29 of my 50 lbs i put on.
i've got all my shopping carts full at multiple internet destinations
i can't wait to click purchase!

imagspirations

that's images and inspiration mashed together.

there are some creeper things out there,
like this ring:
is it just me or does this remind you of a ring
your local serial killer would fashion?
creep-y.

luckily other images inspire style
(instead of creepify)
like this breezy bit of white transparent awesomeness:
can you feel the warm summer breeze?
love the messy hair,
platform wedges
and
big gold hoop earrings.

remember,
being inspired by a look doesn't mean you have to go out
and buy every piece verbatim.

pick the things you love about the look and make it
yours.

do you love the skirt?

white maxi skirts

or do you just love the idea of having
summer-white in your wardrobe:
be creative

i went "shopping" on sat.
i didn't try anything on.
mostly because i realized i was not ready to buy clothes yet.
as much as i hate wearing
my maternity clothes,
my body isn't ready for real clothes yet.
i can't wait to have outfit posts again.
someday...someday.

getting out there

so jj has been on the biliblanket for the past 5 days
it plugs into the wall...which means we don't go anywhere.
yesterday was his two week appt. and it
was only my second outing since he was born.
this was the best i came up with:
i need more accessories.
(besides my giant milk boobs)
i use to have this amazing orange necklace
it had giant baubles, it was divine.
who knows where it is now, it broke (and was fixable) but i can't find it anywhere.

my wardrobe is pretty blahhhhh right now
which is fine, i'm in this weird in between stage with my body.
all though i've lost 27lbs now
i still have 23lbs to go...
blah.

the best thing i have to work with right now is accessories.
plus with spring and summer coming
(someday...right, oregon?)
i love bright colored accessories
like this one from forever21:

shop for it here
you can't beat $4.80!

look at all the fun colors out there:
Bright Accesories
how do you amp up a blah outfit?
and on a totally different note, check these out:
so cute.
i can't even tell you how excited i am to dress a little boy.
after two girls, mama needs a change.

block it up!

sooooo
how've you been?

let's talk clothes.
i'm desperate to buy a spring wardrobe
but
alas
i'll be waiting till...
i loose my baby wait at least.
down 25lbs
25lbs to go...that's right i gained 50lbs with this bebe.

anyway, one of the trends i'm fancying
(is that even a word?)
is colorblocking.
mama likey.

let's face it though,
it's not like i'm going to be wearing one of these runway looks.
so, let's explore colorblocking for real people.
target dress for $20!
now this dress is completely doable
love those sandals too...i'd add a light cardigan, long necklace and a headband.
riiiight?
this dress would be super cute with some great wedges too.

you could dip your toes into the trend...literally,
by wearing a great pair of sandals like these:
aren't these spectacular?
i'm so jealous of anyone who has actual spring weather right now.
it's cold here.
still.
these sandals are so cute with all the buckles and the colors are great.

there are lots of ways to
work the colorblock trend.
so do it.
have fun with it.
you could make a big splash with a great dress
or sprinkle yourself with colorblock accessories.
Color Block
will you colorblock this spring/summer?

and i totally forgot about having a newborn.

hello internet world

this may come as a shock but...

i said i'd post a picture of my new do...then i didn't.
after receiving some "guff" from a few readers
i decided to but a bra on
and make-up
(notice i said nothing about showering)
and take a few photos of my new tresses
and of course
giant belly.

these next few pics are a tribute to
mine is simply titled:
sometimes i put my hand behind my head

i couldn't resist.
i love elaine, she's hilarious.

so i've mostly just been hanging around being too lazy
to actually post anything.
i've been reading blogs though...thank goodness.
i'm even too lazy to comment on your posts,
sorry friends.

here are some cheesy full body shots for your viewing pleasure,
this is as cute as i get at 39 weeks.
that's a fake smile.

incredible.
i could be on ripley's.

p.s. my only contribution to being some what stylish...
my nails are mint green, i'm so on trend.
