seriously...

(via weheartit)

is this not the cutest thing you've seen all week?

Feb 24, 2011

snow day- yay!

i thought i'd keep real today
like, really real.

my girls had a snow day today.
and i knew i wanted to be as comfortable as possible,
which is why i had leggings in my 30.
welcome
to
the most casual stay-at-home-and-drink-cocoa-outfit
ever.
bam.
i didn't go anywhere today...
all though i did shower
(shocking, i know)
the snow in the pictures looks pretty pathetic
but
it was a lot earlier,
by the time i took pictures it was in the late afternoon
and the sun had come out in full force,
our snowman melted along with most of the snow.
~
here's my outfit 18 from wednesday.
i didn't have much going on besides a dr.'s appt.
i was rocking my sweet curly hair.

and yes, i did just wear this shirt last friday
buuuuuut
that's how the 30/30 goes right?
i didn't change this up a lot either
besides wearing my 3/4 sleeve underneath.
i was going to wear my brown boots
but i like the grey with this blue.
here are some more of my photo shop skillz at play:

original:

photo shopped:

i attempted to get rid of the shadows under my eyes
(yes, it is a shadow and not dark circles)
huh, huh, huh?
pretty good riiiiiight?

check out my hair...this pantene gel spray is rocking my world.

Feb 22, 2011

bride of frank or ex-bride of ryan

i'm channeling a little of this:

and a little of this:
i'm totally pimped out in mommy attire today.
and i have
crazy awesome
mom hair to boot!

riiiiiiiight?!

i wore this shirt last on outfit #10
OMG
i was just going to link to #10,
i never posted #10...and no one told me?
wow, thanks for paying super good attention
or
you all think i'm some idiot that can't count.
ok, here's outfit 10
(that i apparently never posted)

so i guess you can see what i did differently up close and personal today.
i still can't believe i never posted these pics!
crazy.
wow, that must mean that i'm starting to get really pregnant, right?

well that's a pretty good spacing for wear...i guess its only a week later.
i didn't do much to "change" it up
i'm wearing my other jeans and i have a headband on.
i know, i'm really branching out.

this is a function outfit:
i dropped off my youngest to preschool
i read a book
i picked up my youngest
i went to goodwill
i sat in a parking lot and waited for my oldest to get out of school
while i talked to my bff on the phone.
function.
i don't want to wear something restricting when i'm doing all that sitting.
it's distracting.

what did you do today?
i have yet to take pictures of my other outfits.
~
on a totally different note
i got some amazing news last night...unfortunately i can't share at the moment
(so annoying, right?)
but i will be able to share it soon and just so you know
you won't care.
it solely involves me and my meager life and if you aren't lds then it
wont even mean much of anything!
how's that for a boring, pointless, story full of non-information.
you're welcome.

Feb 21, 2011

i am 16 going on 17

who says you can't take pictures in the harshest light of day?
oh yeah, everyone.
well...to quote my daughter's 1st grade class:
"you get what you get and you don't throw a fit."

it was either pictures at 1pm or no pictures at all.

oh, that one was just because i like to think i know how photoshop works...
turns out,
i don't.

so i went to target earlier today...it was a super quick trip.
when i got home and sat down i noticed the zipper on one of my boots
was halfway down.
i was pretty embarrassed for about 60 seconds,
all i could think of was that all the people that saw me at target probably thought i was
too pregnant and helpless to zip my boots up all the way
or
my calf was so huge that this mere zipper couldn't handle the mass.

then i got over it, too late now.

i have to still take pictures of my
17,18 and 19.

turns out i was too lazy to even take pictures this weekend.
that's the reality folks.
it's gettin' real up in here.

p.s. anyone know what musical the title is from??

Feb 18, 2011

blah

this is what you wear to a 1st grade field trip
don't i look positively glowing?
eh, it's the setting on my camera, i tried a bunch of different things so i wouldn't be
glowing...but instead they all came out semi-ok and fuzzy.
i know you're blown away with my photo skills.

so i walked around with a 1st grade group for a few hours at our local hospital.
that's why i wore my comfy boots...i wanted to wear my brown boots
but i thought i'd be selfish today and go with comfy...and a ponytail.
p.s this was after the field trip...with no nap...i still have yet to nap.
mommy's cranky.
i love this shirt, it's really soft and comfy (yeah, that's like the 3rd time i've said comfy in this post)
and even has some more growing room,
which is good because i'm pretty sure i'll double this belly a few weeks
before i give birth.
give birth is such a weird phrase, right?
it sounds so "health class."

you may have noticed that i didn't post an outfit yesterday
i didn't really get dressed till around 2pm
my youngest and i hung out in our jammies and napped off and on.
it.
was.
awesome.

Feb 16, 2011

grellow

thank you tania for coining the phrase grellow
grey+yellow=awesome.

so it was sunny, then it was rainy, then apparently it hailed, then it was sunny again...
so i decided i should get my bum off my couch and take my pictures
then the lawn crew drove up so i got outside
as quick as my pregnant self could.

i took about 4 pictures
it was cold and windy
and then it started to rain.
so these aren't the best...my shirt is all messed up in most of them.
oh well.
i already took my boots off,
so no chance of a re-shoot.
i have no where to go till 7pm tonight so i will be wearing my house slippers until then.
windy:

do these look crisper?
i tried a different setting.

watch out...giant belly (in stripes no less) coming through.
it's almost 3d.

here are my white rose earrings from the ciao bella boutique.
these along with the others i've been wearing were early v-day gifts.

time for a nap.

Feb 15, 2011

little ray of sunshine

i planned on taking my pictures indoors today,
it's been pouring all-day-long.
i almost forgot i live in oregon...luckily we have days like this and it all comes screaming back.
then there was a break in rain, and a little ray of sunshine
came to say hello.
i had a dr.'s appt. today.
yeah, that's the end of my story.
i like this outfit, it's comfortable, the design on the shirt
is colorful and i like my accessories...i think they keep it fun and put together.

outfit #13...13 is my favorite number,
i know, super cliche, but it's the truth.
i turned 13 on friday the 13th IN OCTOBER.
i know, i just blew your mind.
and since i never take a decent up close picture i decided to take one inside...
while sitting in my giant loveseat...
with my feet up...
and a flash.
now you can see my turquoise headband and cute yellow earrings.
yay.

all right, my work here is done.
i have to go pick up my daughter from school soon and i'm ready for a nap.

Feb 14, 2011

the debut of my upper arms

hold your applause.
about a 1/4 of my pregnancy weight goes to my upper arms.
i first discovered this when i was about 4/5 months pregnant with my first daughter
and on my arm very close to my armpit a very little line appeared,
it was my first stretch mark.

i thought i was home free with that little sucker...little did i know
overnight
(literally)
i would sprout a parentheses of stretch marks coddling my belly button.
you win some, you lose some.

point:
(yes, i have one)
i like to hide my upper arms, especially whilst packing a baby.
that's why you usually see me with a cardigan or shirt that covers my guns.
(by guns i mean soft fleshy rippling flab...it's a term of endearment)
my hair is still a bit damp in these pictures,
however i did use my new styling gel again today.
this is my attempt at showing off my sweet shirt detail...it means i don't have to wear any other accessory if i don't want to because my shirt is already decorated.
i am wearing bracelets but i have to say
i think i may be a cuff girl at heart.
the sun came out so i thought i'd give you the glow.
plus it hides my panty lines...yes, that is how high my underwear are right now.
note to self: put a tank under this if you go out in public.

i thought i'd put my hair up real quick...and then the wind kicked up.
hence the surprised bang hold.
xoxo

if you have curly hair...

then you may want to keep reading...if not...
well, you can read on if you want.

so i've been wearing my hair curly lately...have you noticed?
i don't have the energy to straighten it.
my hair has gotten more curly with each pregnancy
so i've decided to embrace it.

i was reading angela's blog and came across this
i decided then and there
i would go and find some products that would help me enhance my mexican curl.
go and read katherine's tutorial real quick, it's super cute with pictures, which i love, and it's easy peasy.
i don't usually brush my hair anyway- one of katherine's suggestions.
(bonus)
i took some time looking through different products at
my local k-mart (classy, i know)
and came across this:

i've noticed with my own hair that it responds better to serum based
products (opposed to cream ones) so i thought this would be a good starter choice.
i hate spending money on things that might not work
(it feels like such a waste)
but lucky for me, this stuff is working for me and i really love it.
review
i've followed the directions for the most part:
spray on hands, rub hands together, apply to hair.
but the other day i just sprayed it in my hair (all over) and scrunched it from there,
i liked the results much better...i have super thick hair and i think the product
was able to get to more of my hair spraying it directly on.

i have yet to use my diffuser like katherine suggests, i usually just let it air dry
like i said, zero energy to do my hair these days.

i tried to get the sunsilk de-frizzer that katherine uses but it was nowhere to be found,
weird.
i picked up this l'oreal vive pro stuff this weekend

it sounds like the perfect blend between anti-frizz and shiny locks...
which i think curly hair needs...it's hard making curly hair look glossy and fab.
we'll see how it works this week and i'll give a little review after i've used it a few times.

Feb 13, 2011

eleven

it's sunday- so this is a post of few words.
that's actually all the words.
:)

Feb 12, 2011

weekend wear

in an attempt to catch-up with everyone else on the 30
i decided to take weekend pictures.

i wanted to wear a pair of my boots...but then i thought i should keep it real,
if i'm out running errands with one of my kids
i'm going to want to wear my warm boots...which are of course in my 30.

i'm not sure what's up with my buck tooth smile...but just go with it.

once i saw this picture i decided to put my hair up real quick

also, i was going outside to take my pictures and it was so windy!
there's no way i could've gotten a decent picture
so inside was my only choice.

this shirt looked a lot darker and brighter online
(i'm pretty sure darker and brighter is an oxymoron).

Feb 11, 2011

top of the mornin'

well, it's no where near morning time anymore
but i'm wearing this bright green shirt
and all i can think about is how i'm going to look SO awesome on
st. patricks day.
yes, it is a month away but you can bet i'll be sporting this shirt.

i took my pictures around 1:30pm today
and it sounded like an amazon jungle in my backyard.
i wish i had a recording,
i could hardly here my camera's timer...i felt like
i was visiting a brazilian rain forest for crying out loud.

anyway, i guess that means spring is coming?
not.
this is oregon...it'll probably ice over and snow 3 more times.

no neighbors today.
in fact i was making a conscious effort to
"find my light"
(thank you antm)

i totally found my light, riiiiiight?
i know a couple seasons back they did short girls on the show,
do you think they'll have a season for women that are too old to be models, have stretch marks that will costs tons of $$ to photo shop out and are not particularly alien looking?
if they do, i'm totally going to try out.

cardi, shirt, tank- old navy, jeans- gap mat, boots- target, necklace- ae

i get a lot of compliments on this necklace whenever i wear it.
i like it because it has blues and greens in it...which is key in my wardrobe,
i seem to have a lot of both colors.

my doctors appt. for today got cancelled because someone was giving birth.
rude.
i'm super polite and i've only ever had my babies on weekends,
i like to be considerate of others schedules.
i had to reschedule my appt. for next week on an annoying day of the week.
blah.

in other news, it is friday and i hope you all have a great weekend!

Feb 10, 2011

i'm thinking american dream pizza for dinner...google it.

this guy that lives behind us was cleaning his bbq when i went to take pictures.
so i waited a few minutes until i thought he was gone.
turns out he was sitting quietly playing with his dog in their backyard.
you ladies that go out in public to take your pictures
(i'm talking to you monkeyface and sydney)
are brave.
i could hardly muster up a fake smile
let alone a relaxed comfortable pose.
needless to say i look like i'm severely depressed or have teen angst,
especially in this picture...i'm leaning towards
the teen angst.

yikes.
having an audience does not boad well for my natural charm.

you'll be happy to know that i finally got the rest of my 30
in the mail today.
hal-le-freakin-lu-jua!

so yes, i'm wearing this cardigan two days in a row...
but i've already divulged that i'd wear it everyday if i could
and i plan on getting more of them once the 30 is over.

but tomorrow i will me stimulating your retinas
with color baby.
(i feel like buddy the cake boss)

cardi- old navy, tunic- gap mat, belt, shoes, leggings- target
and awesome yellow earrings you can't even see, the ciao bella boutique on etsy.

i was originally saving this outfit
(or something like it)
i think i'll still put it in next monday,
seriously though,
navy,
black,
grey and
brown,
with my yellow earrings?!
i've totally broken all the rules.

Feb 9, 2011

yay for changes, boo for fedex

kimmie from blue paper lanterns created my new blog design.
so click on through google readers and check it out.
i love it.
no, really i seriously love, love, love it.
she was absolutely a dream to work with...i'm the first to admit i'm not super tech savvy
and she walked me through everything and was so sweet.
i absolutely can't praise her enough
and i completely and totally recommend her if you're thinking about
updating or changing your current design.
(or lack there of)
ok, i'm off my soap box...for now.

turns out the outfit i put together
last night for my church thing sucked just as much as outfit 6.
so, i didn't waste my time taking pictures.

even though fedex tracking says my clothes are here
(in my actual town)
and should have been delivered yesterday
they have yet to show up.
so you and i are stuck with different variations of the same 5 tops.

this was my attempt to show off my headband
note to self...next time make sure you can actually see the headband behind your thick mexican hair.

is this too many pictures?
i was so excited to have pictures the size that i want
that i went a little over board.

i'm just so excited about my new blog design!
hopefully my clothes show up tomorrow
or i may have to write a strongly worded letter to the fedex company.
that'll show them.
