not the bean
the actual belly.
your stomach feels like a sack full of jello after you have a baby.
it's totally weird.
i put on a tunic today that was roomy
and hid my post baby belly pretty well.
but
i felt like i was wearing a tent
and
i didn't feel super cute.
so i layered a few tanks and added a cardi,
slipped on my maternity skinny jeans
and my grey boots.
i felt much cuter
but
there wasn't much left to the imagination when it came to my jelly belly.
and i'm ok with that.
i'd rather feel cute and have a spare tire
than feel like i need to hide myself from the world.
the reality is:
i just had a baby
i'm supposed to have jelly belly.
so here are my pics for you,
i had a 9lb 15oz baby boy 3 weeks ago
and i'm ready to start looking cute again...
at least when i go out in public.
you come to my house
what you see is what you get.
i'm so excited to go shopping for summer clothes.
3 weeks down, 3 weeks to go will i can start going to the gym.
so far i've lost 29 of my 50 lbs i put on.
i've got all my shopping carts full at multiple internet destinations
i can't wait to click purchase!
Hi Christa! Congrats on the birth of your son. I've been awol from the web but so nice to hear everything went well and honestly, you do look fab for just having a baby, sorry your 3rd! Can't wait to see what cute things you buy. xo
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing and look great. I love how you actually made this much effort on putting on this great outfit. I was definitely in yogapant maternity sweat combos for the first month of both pregnancies.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are anxious to get shopping. We are anxious to see your purchases. :)

You look cute, even if you feel like jelly lol :) I've always wondered how that works after having a baby... wouldn't it be nice if all the extra just came out with the baby and you were just back to your pre-baby body after giving birth??? :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband kept having to remind me "it's only been x weeks!". He was so much more forgiving of my body and respectful of what it had went through than I was.
ReplyDeleteNow it's been 9 months and I still have some weight to lose but it's coming off slowly so at least it's going in the right direction. But it's tough to see a tabloid photo of someone who had a baby 2 months prior and is now at the beach in their bikini with rock hard abs. How in the heck?
