fantasy friday

jimmy, jimmy choo, where are you? (sung like scooby doo theme...i know...I'm super creative)
at first you think, really?
isn't this a bit much?
the answer is, no.
really envision yourself in it...close your eyes...see yourself zipping them up.
imagine wearing them with a black pencil skirt and white t-shirt...that's right, a plain white tee.
add one super amazing chain necklace

and then a great girly ring that
blows
peoples
minds
gold lace ring....mind blown.
all these pieces can be yours for the small double mortgage price of $2,320.
what? it's fantasy friday.
shoes:jimmy choo $1,295
necklace: dannijo $640
ring:aurelie bidermann $385

seriously though, i love these shoes, they are gorgeous and they seems ridic but they are totally doable, you could wear these to church and you could wear them on a super hot date with your husband.
enjoy.

priced to buy

you get the idea.
did you know that your local kohls sells jeggings? i'll be making a trip to try them on this weekend...i'll let you know how it goes.
so last weekend at charlotte russe there were tons of super cute floral dresses...and of course too short for a mom to wear and still feel age appropriate...unless i guess if you're a teen mom then...have at it.
i thought to myself, self, you could still wear these super cute dresses with jeggings underneath, that would look super cute self! needless to say the dresses didn't fit over my giant chest (ok, i don't actually have a giant chest but these dresses are made for pre baby bodies so i wasn't that dissapointed that the junior "L" didn't fit my motherly stretched out rib cage.
lucky for you and me
there are department stores all around the world
dedicated to making designer knock offs
(not that charolotte russe is designer...because,
it's not,
but they did copy it from someone else).
the one thing that i LOVE about these jeggings as that they have zippers and buttons in the front, the more they look like jeans, the better. these jeggings are by elle and lc conrad and are both on sale for 29.99...now I don't know about the quality of them...seriously i'll go this weekend and try them on and do a little review.
now these cute dresses would look super cute with these jeggings and then when it gets warmer with some regular leggings...long ones...not capri length, i think that would look too juvenile...at least with this type of dress...i think capri length would like great with a t-shirt dress or casual tunic length shirt.
the floral dress is by elle ($36.99) and the sheath dress is buy lc conrad ($44.99).
have you found any great prices out there?
what about a piece of clothing that you super-love and have no idea what to pair it with?
do you need a look 4 less?

what do you get when you fall in love?

a guy with a pin, to burst your bubble

aren't these pieces amazing?
amazing.
unfortunately, i'm not a ceo of...well anything...and my money isn't flowing freely.
ahhh, to get paid to be a sahm...what's the number all the magazines give?
you know, the amount of money we'd be making if our gig was paid, i know it's over $100k.
ahhh, then i could get every one of these great pieces.
item one-proenza schouler amazing peacock colored bag. i don't think this purse could have been made any more awesome than it already is. pretty sure the answer is no, no it couldn't, it's per-fec-tion. $1,595
item two-emanuel ungaro yellow leather crop jacket. honestly, this color of yellow can't not make me smile. i bet it feels like a million dollars...only in leather form. $1,905
item three-chloe lace top. i can almost feel a summer breeze as i gaze into my computer screen to stare at this top...this top is an outfit maker. $92
item four- oh how i long for these boots...it almost makes me physically ill to think i can never lay my feet within their leather loveliness. they are the ruffle riding boots from anthropologie and by the time i discovered them they were...sold...out...it's a painful time for me still and i can only hope that the stylists at anthro bring them back someday.

purchases's' s

these are the two tops i bought over the weekend.
unfortunately for us both my nice camera is low on batteries and i'm low on the energy to find the battery charger...so we get these junky pics from my little digital camera.
the first white top is from ann taylor and i got it for 40% off the sale price...hello.
the fabric is super nice, it's thick and has this great dot texture...it looks like swiss dot but not the texture.
i've been wanting to buy something with a mandarin collar for a while...i love it.
i love the bib detail and i love this cut on me because i have a round soft middle and this hides it pretty well.

my second top is from charlotte russe and i really loooooooove it. i love the collar and sleeves so much and the little lacey detail on the bib is great. the cons of this shirt is the back...i didn't take a pic, sorry, it has a gathering which makes the front of the shirt look really great but from the back i look like I may have a mini humback...but i decided i would still buy it because i only care about what i look like from the front...i can't see the back of me therefore i assume others can not as well.

i also got the pair of jeggings i really wanted...and they were on sale!! double yes! they are going through their second wash right now because the dye in them is so strong...i'm hoping to put together outfits to show you with my new clothes!
***i got my jeggings at macy's they are the american rag brand***

yay for husbands that let you shop.

p.s. i'm very aware that both of these shirts somehow look like maternity shirts in my pictures but I swear...I don't look pregnant with them on...and i am definitely not pregnant.

Feb 22, 2010

i'm hoping for a thrift shop field trip soon.
i went to eugene on a whim this weekend and i got some great pieces at some great prices.
tell me dear readers...would you like to see my outfits? should i incorporate some pics of my own style?
just a fyi, i like too many things to pin it down to one specific style...
in high school my outfits consisted of:
monday: wool plaid bell bottoms from a thrift shop paired with a glittler sweater...also from a thrift shop
tuesday: wrangler jeans with boots and a union bay top
wednesday: super short shorts (neon green, vintage mens tennis shorts)a polo and knee high soccer socks
thursday: one of my little brothers shirts (read:super tight) and huge skater jeans
friday: a hoodie with super short shorts
that's right, that's how I roll. well I don't roll quite so sporadically but I like to keep my options open.
point being, you don't need to stick to one style you love if you love many different looks...the importance is finding style for everyday.
it makes you feel good.
when you feel good it radiates to those around you.
happy mommy happy home.

all you need is love.

love is all you need.
is your inner hippy clawing it's way out? even for a day?
this is the hip momma way to incorporate your inner flower child. let's all hold hands and run through a flower patch...oh wait...it's still winter. well this look can make an appearance now with some great cable knit clogs. i love this look but most of all, topped off with a great side braid, so chic. have a mommy neighbor help you if you can't braid.
find your style.

shoo's

I was over at one of my fave giveaway blogs just for me and you and discovered (along with a giveaway) a new shoe site. Zoo Shoo has some super cute shoes at cheap prices! I don't know a ton about the quality of the shoes but honestly, does it really matter? you only need sandals to last a few months anyway, because next season the trends will more than likely be different.
I went ahead and filled a cart of shoes that I love, four pairs, (PLUS using the code JUSTFORMEANDYOU2 you get an extra 10% off) and the total came to $67.60 (that INCLUDES shipping!). I usually spend that much on one pair of shoes...sick, i know.

amazing, amazing prices.
check out zoo shoo's and head over to just for me and you and sign up for the giveaway!

look 4 less

looky what I found. there was this amazing rose cardi on wet seal but I couldn't get a copy of it...it was pretty perfect, it even had little pearl buttons...so cute.
i've also seen some great floral cardis at target, for cheaper than these...the beauty of these stores is that there is always a sale eminent.

granny flowers

I love granny clothes. a lot.
granny chic is a real thing
and
i'm in love with it.
a lot.
here are some floral prints that have caught my eye and have my mind wheels turning.

top l-r: shirt:topshop.com, cardi:johnlewis.com, dress:warehouse.co.uk
middle l-r: dress:missselfridge.com, tank:topshop.com, skirt:topshop.com
bottom l-r: dress:fredflare.com, skirt:alloy.com, sweater:hm, dress:forever21

so? granny chic? love it or hate it?
I want that john lewis cardigan so bad...but $100 for a cardi, I don't know...shoes definetly but, I don't know about $100 on a cardi, I might be able to find a look 4 less at a thrift shop. I accept my own challenge. maybe this weekend I can go to the thrift shops and take you along (by that I mean picture log of my day and present on monday).
i hope everyone's tuesday is much better than my crap monday yesterday.

equals...step it up

you can take a simple t-shirt and jeans and take it from everyday mom to chic mom.
I'm willing to bet you have a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in your closet

the same pair of jeans and white t-shirt is in every one of
my sweet outfit collages.

shirt from allsaints.com and jeans from AE
necklace:recessionistashop.com, bangles:forever21, belt:forever21 and flats:amiclubwear.com
classic, right? jeans and a t. this is how you go from boring everyday mom to mom with style.
simply add
bright flats
+
colorful statement necklace
+
colored skinny belt (complimentary of the necklace)
+
simple bangles (don't compete with the necklace)
=
stylish, chic mommy.
I added four things to this outfit and it became super cute, right? I used cheap things for this outfit...if you look up these 4 additions none of them are over $15 (those shoes are $14!!)
now to the dress up. you always hear that you can "dress-up" a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, here you go:
for a girls night out or a date night
add one part
sparkly or form enhancing cardi
+
heels, beautiful high heels (or any height I suppose)
and
2 or 3 parts great accessories
equals

flower clip:anthro, sequin cardi:forever21, ring:charlotte russe, yellow heels:zappos.com
hairclips:forever21, cardi:ae, ring:avalaya.com,  feather necklace, sequin belt and heels: :forever21

amaay-zing.(said like kelly from the office)
I'm sure you have one great pair of heels in your closet. you could even take a plain cardi and spend $6.80 on the sequin belt from forever21 and wear it on your waist over the shirt and cardi (are you picking up what I'm laying down?).
look at thrift shops and estate sales for great jewelry finds for cheap.
and last but not least, errands or appointments. i had a doctors appt last week, i felt like a piece of poo because I thought I had pink eye (barf, just an infection but still...barf) I wanted to wear my yoga pants and a big fleece and my emu's...with my stupid hair all flyaway and frizz.
example a
now this would have been super comfy and well...that's pretty much it.
I chose to wear my skinny jeans with my brown boots and a pea coat and scarf. I even took a pic for you
but I'm too lazy to upload it...
fine, I'll do it but I'd just like to say I started this post at 9:30am...that's the kind of day I've had.

(yes my hair is still frizzy
and no I did not take a shoeless daughter with me in the middle of winter...
she insisted on being in the pic...seriously)

anyway, putting effort into your look makes you feel better. seriously, try it, I dare you that it works.
so, you can go out to do your errands looking like blah mom or chic mom
add one part cute coat
+
fun accessories
=
cute mom.
cute coat:johnlewis.com, purse:kate spade, moccasins:ON
earrings:debenhams.com, scarf:missselfridge.com, cardi:ae, ring:newlook.co.uk, shoes:forever21

look what you can do with jeans and a t-shirt,
I bet you didn't know this little uniform was such a chameleon.
you're welcome.

$$$

we're moms, right? so more than likely most of our extra money (if any) goes to our darling children.
I use to live through my daughter. I would dress her in all the things that I love.
I would dress her how I would dress if I was her age.
I got TONS of compliments on all the cute things she wore.
(one of my proudest moment was during her preschool graduation
when the teacher presenting her said Eva was
always
so
stylish at school
and
totally rocked her ugg boots...
and something else about how smart and funny she is blah, blah.
it's the little things people.
then one day my daughter decided that she wanted to pick out her own clothes.
she only likes boy clothes or clothes that make her look like a boy.
since I couldn't show off my style on her anymore I turned to myself.
hmmm, new concept, spend some money on myself. wierd.
technically all I had in my wardrobe were floral shirts from k-mart and sweats from ae.
two totally disturbing combos.
long story short I put myself back on the list (super cliche) and decided that it wouldn't be so bad to buy some updated pieces for my close but, like most people I didn't have money to re-vamp my wardrobe.
suggestions:
 sales
clearance
target
on (old navy)
department stores
thrift shops
goodwill/di
all these choices involve time with yourself or with girlfriends.
children are not invited to shopping sprees.
you won't get anything done
and
more importantly
you wont be able to go through every single thing on the sale/clearance racks.
spending some time at the racks can save you money.
so today to save you money and give you great ideas I'm spotlighting the old navy dress category here.
there are some great dresses that can create a great "cheap" outfit.
save for one thing.
then the next month save for the next things,
acquiring a wardrobe of non-sweats and baggy shirts takes time.
pink sandals:on, ivory necklace:fantasyjewelrybox.com, swirl ring:charlotte russe
fish earrings:forever21, reptile bangle:forever21, silver sandals:pacsun

moral of the story:
you don't have to spend a lot of money to look great.

fantasy friday

Encrusted highland tartan tunic from Jcrew
$795.00
do I love it? yes. would I ever spend $795 on it? no. if I had that kind of money I'd be buying my louboutins.
embrace the beauty of the fantasy.

short bus

there's nothing more frustrating than finding a dress you love and fits amazing and it's 3 inches too short.
anger, sadness, troubleshooting.
here's my thoughts. we live in an age of leggings, leggings are socially acceptable (even if tim gunn loathes them, sorry tim). now depending on the shortness of the dress and opaqueness of the tights this can work...but if the dress is too short and the leggings are more like tights than leggings than...please oh please do not wear sheer tights with a short dress, you'll probably scar someone for life. no offense, i don't care how skinny your are no one wants to see it.
it's like when you see a really hot blond and she turns around and she's 50.
sad.
seriously, dress your age (but that's an entirely different post).
anyway, there are these new amazing leggings called jeggings, they are the offspring of jeans and leggings...jeggings. aint nothing going to show through these bad boys.
i tried my first pair on last saturday at macy's. blew. my. mind.
and they made my legs look like toothpicks...trust me, they totally aren't.
option one: wear non-see through leggings with short dresses:
cardi:delias, falts:forever21, dress:on, jeggings:net-a-porter.com
the other creative options are adding length. what?
i know, right?  sounds complicated. it's totally not. if it's only a few inches you need may i suggest the trims by the yard at jo-ann's (or whatever your local region fabric store is), you can find some cute options and get exactly how much you need. you could also add it onto a slip.
another option is vintage hem.

they're like slip extensions but instead of a slip you get cute, funky, lengthy goodness.
option dos: add some length, be creative:

headband: forever21, dress: lagarconne.com, heels: net-a-porter.com

be creative.
you can do it.
experiement with things you may already have in your closet to add length.
pursue the dress for you. (hey, that totally rhymed...I'm so clever).

do you dress?

how do you feel about dresses?
are they a sunday only affair?
do you feel as good in a dress as you do in your jeans?
one of my favorite blogs {have a cute day} has changed my entire perspective on dresses. I use to think that dresses were a pain and an inconvenience in comfort. they issued a challenge a few months (?) ago to wear dresses all week long. I blogged about it on my personal blog here. I gained a fondness for the dress. I felt put together and pretty when I wore them, I felt like I really put some effort into how I looked. it was fun.
i'm going to be showcasing some dresses this week...some tips. and what's my number one rule tip????
try on, try on...and then try on some more.
I was convinced that my body was made for skirts and skirts only...but low and behold I can wear a dress and look good in it. there is a great dress shape out there for you...you just have to find it.
and you'll feel like this:

 (p.s. that's me..in a dress)
questions? requests? is there a dress you love but it costs $$ and you want to find the look 4 less?

your q's answered

request from a reader:

I always find that my jeans seem super comfortable while I'm trying them on before buying, but once I'm in them for hours and being Mom, they just don't work any more.  The same goes for a lot of favorite shirts that seem like they'll work out well when I'm wearing them for about half an hour or so, but not longer.  Any tips on how to pick out clothes that will actually fit and work with our bodies rather than pants that end up restricting movement (my favorite jeans, ugh!), gaping and sliding down in the back, shirts that won't ride up or cling... help?!

here's my experience with jeans...they don't fit my body either. luckily nowadays company's offer many different cuts of jeans. now some jeans to have the tendency to get bigger throughout the day...I've noticed this with all of my jeans from ON(old navy)...by the end of the day the slip and I'm constantly pulling them up (it doesn't help that I don't have a rear to keep them up with). stretch in jeans can usually be helpful...I say usually because sometimes it helps them slip but with good stretch they stretch around your body and stay up. it's all about the try on.
if you love shopping or not, to find the perfect fit jeans takes time...a lot of time. an entire shopping day in a big mall with lots of stores you can go in an spend hours trying on jeans. it's worth the time and money if they fit perfect and you feel amazing in them. I would rather spend $100 on a pair of jeans that fits amazing than on three pairs that fit ok. levis use to make custom jeans, I'm sure it's still an option...I just don't knwo where but they do have a fit for every body type, I would check them out online and there's also indi Denim that really lets you decide what you want, they ask for measurements and how jeans typically fit you...it starts at $145.

now for the second part...shirts. there's nothing that I loathe more than my back showing when I bend over...it's almost equal in flashing someone one of the girls. it feels really immodest and trashy. I discovered my personal solution years ago, Shade Clothing. shade makes amazing undershirts just for this purpose (and many others).I wear a shade shirt everyday...no joke. their tanks (not to be confused with the cami) and cap sleeves are my favorites because they really have the length that I crave. there are also other contenders, I've recently befriended the DownEast half-sleeve and I loooooove it. it gives me coverage and it covers my arms ( I'm not a huge fan of my arms lately). I wear all these as undershirts... I'd have to loose about 40lbs before I would wear them as anything else. shade and downeast make shirts too, like wear with jeans and look cute and get the modesty you crave shirts. I'm also a big fan of kohl's, getting cute shirts at big store clearance prices is awesome...one of my favorite brands at kohls is the ELLE brand, cute tops.

I hope this helps. when it comes to fit quality does matter...you can't expect a $17 pair of jeans to fit you perfect or a $5 top to keep it's shape. I suggest saving, or waiting till your kids can get jobs and take stipends from their checks.
trust me, I myself don't have a pair of jeans that cost me more than $15...so I may not practice what I preach right now BUT I will. when I'm ready I will go to the mall for 6 hours and try on lots of jeans and find a pair that fit me perfect. the undershirts are worth the money (which isn't a lot). they can transform your wardrobe.
good luck!

errands of all ages

There's no reason to ever, ever, EVER wear flannel pj bottoms in public. please, oh please, knock it off.
this collage has one basic outfit that can be put with several different looks OR depending on your age you may be more inclined to wear a certain style.

headband:baekgaardltd.com, ring:dorothyperkins.com, necklace:Fossil
jeans:AE, white T:ON, boots:forever21, cardi:AE,
monster t:h&m, white shirt:jcrew, floral t:dorothyperkins.com

the main outfit consists of t-shirt and jeans with boots; to add some style grab a multi-color necklace and pair it with a bright headband and great statement ring. adding a cardi for layers is great too.
now this shirts on the side could replace the white one
with or without the cardi
the first one with a crazy monster face I'm picturing on a younger mom, with younger kids. I know my daughter would love it if I had a crazy monster shirt on, I would take away the necklace and keep the ring, headband and cardi.

the white button down I can picture on a seasoned mom, it's more grown up and sophisticated, you could keep all the jewelry and lose the headband, this would be cute with the collar popped a little and cuffs coming out from the cardi.

the last look I can picture on a funkier mommy, lose all the accessories (including cardi) and add some bangles or stud earrings and a metallic headband.

this is all about ideas to get your brain in styling mode.
what do you have in your closet already that can be your new errands look?
mix...match...try things on you haven't worn, mix new and old pieces.

burp the baby

we've all been there...or are there...or maybe you haven't been there but I'm just assuming you've totally been there.
wait, what were we talking about.
juuuuuuuuust kidding. barfing babies.
it's not like you're going to wear your dry clean only silk blouse (that I totally own, not) whilst burping a baby you just fed. for a while in mommy hood you need to wear diposable clothing, and by disposable I mean t-shirt and jeans (not actual clothing you'll throw away after wearing) that you can get baby barf on over and over and it wont slowly kill your soul.
here's a great mommy-of-a-barfer uniform:

jeans:ae, belt:topshop.com, earrings:piperlime.com, blue vneck:gap, cami:stylesforless.com
boot slippers:rocketdog, clog slippers:uggs, ballet slippers:forever21, burp cloths:resadesign.com

keep it simple with comfy jeans and layer tees, layered because you'll eventually get some sort of fluid on your shirt, so when you need to take it off to shout it out, you'll have a tank on as to not answer the door in your bra, jic.
something girly and fun like some bow earrings can make you feel special when you don't leave the house all day, or when you do leave the house you have some part of your personality shining through your mommy uniform.
of course pick studs that reflect your personality,
I suggest studs because babies will grab at dangly ones
and we don't need a 911 emergency on our hands.
comfy slippers and of course the multi-functional burp cloth.

heard of Smart Mom?
they make necklaces, bangles and key chains that your baby CAN chew on. functional mommy fashion.
loves it.
I'm sure you all have some sort of version of this uniform in your closet, something you wear that's functional to do your job BUT no need for sweats.

wednesday webs

based in the UK they do ship internationaly. all though i've never bought anything from them they seem like a big retailer and good quality.
most of the clothes remind me of granny-chic. I heart granny clothes. I don't know what it is, I was very close with my own grandma, so maybe that has something to do with it...but give me a ridic floral print in mauves and pink and I'm happy!
everything on their site is in british pounds, here's a converter
in the mean time, here's some eye candy:
p.s. if you know about an awesome web- email me and let me know! [email protected]

rundown

if you are reading this and you are a woman, bootcut jeans look good on you. the darker you go the more flattering it will be. also dark bootcut jeans can easily be dressed up for a date night.
if you are reading this and you are under the age of 20 go ahead and wear flare leg jeans. or if you're going to an event that requires 70's dress attire. sorry mommies, we're too old not to look super ridic in flare leg jeans.
if you're reading this and you love the look of the ankle jeans and you're short, wear them with heels, it will elongate your legs.

tomorrow I'll showcase some great looks for moms on the go...and by on the go I mean several things like:
dropping your kiddos off from one event to the next
grocery shopping (note, never wear pajama's in public...please oh please)
wiping baby barf and poo off your face/shirt/legs/mouth
pta, fundraising, 4-h
playdates
etc.
if you have a certain routine you do everyday and you just can't imagine getting "dressed up" for it...say, playing with your baby, having it barf on you, watching Ellen and making dinner...there's an outfit for you that's just as comfy as your husbands sweats and giant Chicago Bulls shirt. trust me. so write me, let me know what your routine is and I can help get you back into your STYLE.

boyfriend jeeeeeans

ahh, glorious spring is just around the corner...at least in my imagination it is.

I love the look of boyfriend jeans, comfy and cute. I can just imagine wearing a pair with some cute flats and a great embellished tee and a cardi on a beautiful spring day

ruffle blouse:jcrew, jeans:ae, cardi:topshop.com, ballet flats:lanvin
bobby pins:juicy couture, ring:charlotte russe

can you see it now?
unfortunately it's raining and drab outside my window.
the trend in boyfriend jeans seems to be ditressed with rips and tears but that doesn't mean you have to choose that style. I love the dark denim as much as the distressed. All though I like the shorter versions of the boyfriend, the longer style just looks silly, like just wear some pants or ankle length skinny's or straight.
rules, rules...these rules are opinion...not law.
as with any opinion, it may and may not apply to you...you'll know makes you feel confident.
opinion: I'm thinking if you're under 5"6 this trend may make your regular legs look more like baby legs.
opinion: I'm thinking if you're over a certain age (I'm not going to name numbers) this trend may look ridic.
as with any item of clothing, you must try on many pairs to find ones that fit with you.
these jeans will look great with sandals, flats and the darker denim could look amazing with some heels (ie: center pic in collage). since these jeans are on the masculine side (hello, their called boyfriends) it's important to not be baggy on the top too, pairing something ultra feminine will compliment this look. and if you choose to wear a menswear inspired blazer make sure your undershirt is fitted- comprende? (that's a little spanish flair for you)
so, pair masculine with feminine
if you're a shorty, skip this trend
if you're old(er) this look may de-sophisticate you.

look 4 less

I've gotten requests to find the YSL Fushia peep toe for less...
it wasn't easy
you're not going to find an exact match...not always.
enjoy:

skinny minny

top left:jerri spruse, top right:gap
bottom left to right: gap, ae, mod cloth

I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive with the skinny jean revolution.
the first time I was tempted is when I bought these great boots from target and it looked super ridic (yes, i got that from Scrubs and yes it's totally ridic to shorten the word ridiculous and i love it) tucking in all this thick denim into my new boots, also it was really uncomfortable. I didn't wear my new boots for almost a month, I was scared of skinny jeans.
what if I looked like a little baby sausage neatly cased within stretchy denim?
what if I looked like I was trying to look younger than I am...I mean I'm already super young and hot but what if I was channeling my inner 14 year old a little too much?
I didn't want to look ridic.
rule one with skinny's; you must be willing to try on many, many pairs
to find the ones that match you...
and by you I mean your lower half.
I went to Kohls and perused the new LC collection, I tried some on and they didn't look half bad...and *GASP*, they were comfy.  I was losing weight at the time so I decided it would be a waste of $35 to spend on jeans I'd be wearing for 5 minutes. I'm super money conscious (that's a lie).
alas, I found my skinny mate at Old Navy on Black Friday and they were $15. Woot, woot. They fit amazing, the pockets were adorable and I still hadn't worn my boots (besides to church with dresses).
rule two; get a flattering wash.
no one wants their thighs to look bigger than they actually are.
in my little skinny jeans collage on the second row all the way to the left are a lighter wash of skinny and I would only suggest this wash if you have thin legs and are of the younger persuasion. The kids are rocking lighter 80's inspired colors and they should stay on kids. the end.
I think that skinny jeans can be an ageless look. if you purchase a dark wash and wear them with some great boots, heels, flats, booties this look can be obtained by a 20 year old just as much as a 50 year old.
(note: shop with true friends that will be honest...
you know deep down once you try on a few pairs if you can pull it off)
my skinny's are my new best friends.
I love them.
I wear them as often as possible.
and nothing pulls you together than great jeans with boots. you look more put together and like you care about your appearance...and you should care, you have the most important job in the world...we should look good and feel good when going out in public.
