tah-dah

sooooooo i don't even know where to start i'm so excited.

i'll start with my vintage finds from salvation army
is there a salvation army where you live?
if there is, i am super jealous.
there was one in the town i was visiting and the prices were
insane.
i paid $2.99 for dresses
and $1.99 for a shirt.
those are the types of prices my husband likes to see.
(too bad it doesn't happen very often)
anyway,
as i was clawing through the racks of dresses
i came across this amazing navy dress
with three different color pinstripes...with a matching belt!
too good.
here's the awesomeness:

i love these buttons- they are this amazing purple,
it didn't photograph very well.
also, what's up with my elbows looking like they
belong to a 70 year old?
sick.
i think we all know how much i hate my feet
but i love this nail polish i just got.
it's sally hansen "commander in chic"
love.

ideally
i have a thin white belt or a tanish brown braided belt
to go with this dress
but i haven't been un-lazy enough
to go search for one.

my next dress i grabbed right away because of the colors,
i love the colors.
it's a little big for me i think
or maybe it's too small...
i can't tell.
it needs something though, i'm still figuring out what that is.

don't you love this picture of me?
hmm, that sounds vain.
well, my husband took these and he was standing an entire house
away from me
(we have a giant lens)
and i was just moving around,
i never knew when he was actually snapping pics.
anyway, i thought this one was really fun.

here it is in all it's glory...it needs something.
i'll figure it out, suggestions are welcome though.
i love this knot.
i love shirts and dress that have knots in the front.
it makes me feel fancy.

i also got an amazing mu-mu.
my husband loathes it.
i think it's amazing.
it's for house wear only, it's much lighter than
a robe for summer time.
i also got this amazing red shirt
(that has a knot and puffy sleeves)
with white polk-dots.
and it zips.
zips.
loooove it.
i was thinking i'd save it to show you at the end of the week.

all right ladies, those are my vintage finds.
since i've been back my friends have asked me to go to
value village and salvation army with them
to help them find their own amazing dresses.
done.

later i'll post about travel style.

  2. Holy crap that navy dress is to die for. As in, I am dying for it. My skin is crawling to be touched by it. And three dollars?? Serious. My husband would have a coronary.
Whenever I have an outfit I feel bleh about, I throw on a cardi. A mustardy one would be perfect with that dress I think.

  6. Great dresses! And I especially love those shoes! Fabulous.

I do have a Salvation Army store, literally a mile or two away from us. Okay maybe more like three or four miles. But whatever. I've only been in there twice, but I'm starting to really get more into thrift and resale shopping, so I'm planning to go back often!

You've gotten some great things so I'm eager to see what I can find!
